Have you ever wondered what Airbnb, Twitter, GitHub and Square (a.o.) have in common, besides being unicorns? Well, they were all built using Ruby on Rails (RoR). Indeed, startups & tech companies looking to quickly and effectively bootstrap their web app know well that RoR is the best framework to start with.

This observation, as well as the growing and critical shortage of software developers, led to the creation of Le Wagon, with the aim to help young talents to become actors of this digital (r)evolution. Our hands-on program brings you the technical skills you need to develop your own MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or join a growing tech startup (as a developer, growth hacker, digital product manager,…).

To achieve this goal, our Full-Stack Coding Bootcamp consists of an intensive full-time training in web application development, given by a team composed of experienced developers and teaching assistants. In just 12 weeks, you’ll learn all the programming languages, methodologies and tools you need to be fully autonomous:

Front-end:
HTML5 & CSS3 (markup languages)
JavaScript (scripting language), jQuery & React.js (JavaScript libraries)
Bootstrap (mobile-first framework)
Advanced CSS techniques (flexbox, grid, animations,…)
UX/UI best practices

Back-end:
Ruby (programming language)
Ruby on Rails (web application framework)
SQL (structured query language for relational database management systems)
PostgreSQL (relational database management system)
APIs (application programming interfaces) & web services (Stripe, Mandrill,…)

Tools: your terminal, Sublime Text, git, GitHub, Sketch, Heroku, Amazon S3,…

Although our training is mostly technical, we confront our students with the startup/business world by regularly inviting tech entrepreneurs to come and share their experience, during an “Apero-Talk”, followed by questions & answers.

Disclaimer: You don’t have to be a mathematics genius to learn to code; it takes a lot of curiosity, perseverance and commitment.
