CodeSpace is an edtech startup based in Cape Town, South Africa. This program focuses on teaching young adults how to code as a means of economic redress by creating employment opportunities as well as closing the race and gender-based wage gaps present in our society.
CodeSpace offers a 5-month, full-stack web development academy for young learners, and students are taught both technical and soft skills necessary to become leaders in the tech industry. CodeSpace works with students on basic job preparation to help place graduates into positions where they can use their skills and gain valuable experience within the tech industry.
While no prior experience in required to attend, applicants must be between the ages of 18-25, and be a South African citizen or have a study visa.
