Data Society classes

Data Society

It’s simple – you don’t need to take thousands of courses, you just need to take the right ones.

Data Society has two different programs: one for executives/leaders and one for analysts/data scientists that teach professionals how to implement powerful data science analyses.

Data Science for Leaders: this program teaches executives and leaders how to build out a Big Data capability, apply data science in their organization and build a data-driven team. This program provides an executive-level overview of the most powerful data science methods, which helps facilitate communication among the entire team, from the top down to the junior staff. Courses in the curriculum include:

1. Data Science in Business

2. Data Science Methods

3. Building a Data Driven Team

Data Science for Analysts: this technical program takes a professional without any background in math or programming and trains them in the data analysis skills they need to solve problems quantitatively with machine learning algorithms. Each course is built by a team of professional data scientists and instructional designers and uses real data sets to solve actual problems and teach data science methods. It is geared towards professionals who need to learn a concrete skill set in a short amount of time. Courses in the curriculum include:

1. Introduction to R and Visualization

2. Interactive Visualization

3. Clustering and Finding Patterns

4. Regression and Time-Series Analysis

5. Network Analysis series (3 courses)

6. Text Mining and NLP series (3 courses)

7. Classification and Prediction series (3 courses)

All courses include downloadable reference guides, reusable code templates, and project-based exercises for you to build up a portfolio and your skill set at the same time.
