Epicodus
Epicodus is an in-person coding bootcamp offering 27-week courses, with the first 5 weeks offered for free.
With locations in Portland and Seattle, they currently offer four tracks: Ruby and Rails, Ruby and React, C# and React, and Front End Development. In each program, students learn how to build applications using modern technologies and practices. More important than any particular skill, students learn how to think like a programmer, write good code, and pick up new languages and technologies after graduation a necessity in this ever-changing industry. In addition, each track includes Intro to Programming and JavaScript courses, career coaching, an internship, and job search support for one year.
Epicodus also employs a full-time team dedicated to preparing students for jobs, and connecting employers with graduates. This includes support and instruction crafting resumes, cover letters, portfolios, and an online presence. Career support staff meets with every student to review these materials, and practice interviewing skills.
After completing courses, students are placed in hand-selected internships with tech companies. This means our graduates begin their job search with on-the-job coding experience. To kick off their job search, graduates participate in a Demo Day where they present projects to local, hiring employers.
Epicodus is a recipient of SwitchUp’s 2017 Best Bootcamp award, and featured in Value College’s list of Top 25 University-Affiliated Coding Bootcamps. They are also a founding member of the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting (CIRR) which aims to make standardized bootcamp graduate outcomes transparent and available to all.
